As new parents you want to be certain you are providing the best nutrition for your child. Filled with at least 2 teaspoons of sugar per serving, artificial ingredients, additives and its always a red flag when there’s ingredients you cannot pronounce. It is imperative to start children on a healthy path to nutrition from the very start and be preventative against the dangers of sugar addiction that can lead to childhood obesity, cavities, and a catalyst to other severe health problems (hiyahealth.com).

Yummy and Healthy
Each chewable vitamin is naturally sweetened with monk fruit. Monk fruit sweetener is derived from the organic juice of monk fruit and is a healthier alternative to sugar. Monk fruit contains antioxidants and a dash of mannitol, an all-natural sweetener found in fruits and vegetables. Dentists recommend this alternative sweetener in their constant fight against tooth decay. Its zero-calorie sweetness has more benefits than just great taste and healthier dental hygiene. Monk fruit health benefits consist of but are not limited to, fighting against early childhood diabetes, along with a healthy diet and exercise may help to prevent childhood obesity, promoting heart health and a healthy immune system. Which for parents, means less trips to the pediatrician’s office.

When compared to some of the top selling children’s vitamin brands—Hiya ranks among the purest with 0grams of sugar, where other brands have as much as 5 grams per serving. Hiya only requires one vitamin per day, where typical brands require 2, to get the same amount of nutrients found in one Hiya kids’ vitamin. Hiya is uniquely designed for kids only. No toxic fillers such as sugar, gelatin, or other junk you can’t pronounce. Hiya comes in an adorable personalized reusable bottle that your kids can decorate with stickers.
Eco Friendly Packaging
Our product is not just good for your child, but good for the environment. As parents we care deeply about our children and the world, we are creating for them. We have mindfully crafted our product using zero plastic. Rather than send plastic containers that tend to pile up, we send a child-resistant glass bottle for you to keep and reuse, then every month we send a no-plastic refill pouch.
Most vitamins sit on a store shelf for months, then at home in a hot humid environment, so by the time your kids take them, the vitamins themselves may have decreased potency, leaving you with “dead vitamins” that might as well be camouflaged candy.
Our vitamins are delivered monthly and optimized for freshness so you can be sure your kids are getting the nourishment they need.
The result is your kids learn to have empathy for the environment, and receive vitamins optimized for freshness, that are certain to have your kids feeling good inside and out.
Raising Healthy Little Humans
- Who doesn’t love dessert? However, dessert should not come in the form of your child’s multivitamin. When children associate vitamins with candy and heathy eating to dessert, this can lead to bigger problems such as too much sugar consumption. Childhood obesity is a serious epidemic. Obesity, and all its health complications is more common than ever in children. Childhood obesity rates have quadrupled in the past 30 years. 1 out of every 6 youth is obese. A statistic surveyed children in U.S. stated that only 2% of children living in the U.S. eat a healthy diet according to the USDA–25% do not get any physical activity on a daily basis. The prevalence of obesity was 19.3% and affected about 14.4 million children and adolescents. Obesity prevalence was 13.4% among 2- to 5-year-olds, 20.3% among 6- to 11-year-olds, and 21.2% among 12- to 19-year-olds (www.cdc.gov).
- During this pandemic, childhood obesity continues to have a big impact on our communities of color, who are significantly affected by obesity, causing racial and ethnic disparities in rates to persist. Based on the latest findings, non-Hispanic Black and Hispanic youth have the highest rates of obesity, increasing their risk for type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, and putting them at greater risk for severe consequences from COVID-19. By gender, obesity rates were higher for non-Hispanic Black girls (29.1%) and Hispanic boys (28.1%). Non-Hispanic Asian children had the lowest obesity rates across all races, with the rate among boys at 12.4% and for girls, 5.1%(stateofchildhoodobesity.org).
- Hiya teaches healthy habits that kids can carry forward in life, not early dependence on sugar that can lead to early childhood obesity and a host of other health complications throughout childhood and beyond.
Perfect for Your Picky Little Eaters
“Eat your veggies so you can grow up to be big and strong” is one of the most overused sayings in getting our littles to eat healthy, but it doesn’t always work– as they push their broccoli, carrots and zucchini medley around their plates with crinkled noses and sickened facial expressions–waiting to be dismissed from the dinner table. Unfortunately, your youngsters may not always be interested in that healthy medley of yummy veggies, and you may have a difficult time convincing them otherwise.
Picky eaters may not initially be open to a wide variety of vegetables, but you are bound to find at least a few that will satisfy your child’s pallet. Leading by example, teach your child at an early age by discussing the importance of nutrition and health benefits of fruits and vegetables. Change your approach to cooking and eating, if your child sees you eating healthy and enjoying a balanced diet, this can play a critical role in expanding your children’s palettes and fortifying their bodies.
Don’t use the sneaky “hide and eat” approach—which mainly consists of hiding veggies in their meals. Although, this method may work for babies and toddlers who may not know how to use their words yet. This is not teaching them anything, you need a more sustainable approach. They need to be familiar with the shapes, names, colors, and tastes of the vegetables and fruits that they like to create an open dialog about the importance of a healthy diet. Explain to your children why vitamins and minerals are necessary for their growing bodies. School aged children are ready and eager to learn about making healthy choices. They can even play a role in helping to prepare sustainable meals for the whole family.
Balance not Restriction
Be honest about the consequences of poor nutrition. Explain obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol to your children. It’s essential to be transparent with them, tell them that an unhealthy diet can set them up for an unhealthy future. Take a gentle approach when doing so, it’s important to teach balance, instead of restriction and fear. The goal is not to demonize having a piece of cake at birthday party, but to explain the art of moderation, and the benefits to adapting to a healthy balanced diet. This will give you an opportunity to explain balanced meals and the nutritional benefits found in plant-based foods. Teach them about healthy carbohydrates, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables—tell them about the vitamins and minerals they need to fuel those little growing bodies and help focus their ever-curious minds. Explain to them how having a balanced diet can prevent them from getting sick as often, show them how delicious vegetables can be when prepared with a meal (https://hiyahealth.com/blogs/news/vegetables-your-kids-will-love).
Improve your child’s Concentration and Focus
As parents we know children have a natural tendency to get excited and or distracted easily. If your child has a hard time focusing on things they are not actively attempting to avoid, vitamin deficiency may be playing a role in difficulties with mental focus and cognitive function. Children have different recommended daily allowances for vitamins than adults. That’s why we are proud to say our Hiya Children’s vitamins are exclusively made for children. Our vitamins include the appropriate amounts of Zinc, Vitamin C, B Vitamins and Magnesium that help to support a child’s mental, emotional, and physical health practices(https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/multivitamins/faq-20058310).
